Let’s have some artsy fun this weekend! The Art&Air Festival will be held June 6-8 in Webster Groves! There will be art (obviously),music, food and lots of fun for your kiddos at Camp Creativity!
CAMP CREATIVITY
I’m really looking forward to taking Mitch to Camp Creativity at Art&Air! There will be booths where kids can earn “badges” just like a real summer camp–fill up your badge card and get a prize! Some will offer free activities, and others will have a fee.
My favorite kid art studio, Yucandu, will be there too! They’re going to offer a freebie craft and a couple for-a-fee crafts. The freebie is a print making craft: Gelli Mono-Printing. For a fee your kid can make a Painted Paper Maché Animal or glitter up some pens and headbands.
Krueger Pottery will be offering free lessons on the potter’s wheel for kids and free clay to pinch, roll and sculpt all weekend. Small fee only if you decide to get your piece fired.
There’s also going to be a community mural the kids can add to, a magnetic fishing pond, and a place to make your very our STL250 Cake. Sweet! See the whole list of things to do at the Art&Air website.
Camp Creativity hours
Friday from 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM: Come out for a special “Art After Dark” project with campfire songs, skits and s’mores
Saturday from 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Sunday from 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Art&Air is free and open to the public
