Does your kid have a lot of Hot Wheels? Yeah, mine too. And they’re everywhere. In his room (on the floor of course), on my night stand, on the kitchen counter, under the couch, on the tub, in the car…
I think the Hot Wheels just multiply in the dark when we’re not looking. Ok, who am I kidding? At 97 cents a piece they practically throw themselves into the shopping cart when I’m hitting the store with my kid. It’s either that or more candy. And Hot Wheels don’t make your kid fat.
So I was pretty jazzed when I found this cool DIY recycle toy garage over at Missy Inspired. Missy said it took a couple hours for them to create the cardboard box garage, but then her’s actually looks pretty darn cool. Click the link and check out her version. Much nicer than mine. But mine was made by a kindergartener. (No, I didn’t let him use the X-acto.)
My kid, once he figured out why I had an old box and some tape in hand, immediately took over the project. He skipped the support columns and declared that tape was quite enough, thank you. He was parking cars in the garage within 15 minutes.
