We all heard that Toys R Us was struggling, so maybe it’s not a surprise that the toy giant is shutting some stores. They announced today that 180 stores around the country will close, but you have to do a little digging to find which stores are closing.
So I put on my old reporter cap and did the digging for you!
In the St. Louis area we’re only losing two stores:
(and they’re Babies R Us)
Bridgeton 5590 St. Louis Mills Blvd MO
Chesterfield 220 THF Blvd MO
These stores are both Babies R Us locations, not regular toy stores. The Chesterfield store is located in the big Chesterfield Commons strip mall and the Bridgeton location is an outer building at the Mills Outlet Mall. Seeing how I thought the Mills was dead already, that one is not a big surprise.
According to the news reports, Toys R Us will be spiffing up it’s remaining locations and hopes to come out of its bankruptcy proceedings as a leaner stronger company.
Here’s a full list of Toys R Us locations that will soon close.
