I have the weirdest Christmas memory. When I was about 13, all my grandmother wanted for Christmas was a grey blouse. Mom and I combed the mall looking for the perfect grey blouse–our final purchase looked a lot like Barb’s ruffly shirt from Stranger Things, but in grey. Hey, it was the 80’s. People actually […]
Just for Mom
It's not just about the kids you know...read a few things that are just for mom.
Look, I know I don’t normally talk about heavy stuff…but all this sexual harassment talk gets a mom to thinking. What are we teaching our girls? What are we TEACHING OUR BOYS? Yikes!
The last thing I want to do on the day after Thanksgiving is cook…or fight through traffic at the mall for that matter. But what I DO want is to spread is a little love, kindness and hope. And of course….noodles!

St. Louis–or rather, a good chunk of the metro area–will be in direct path of the 2017 Total Solar Eclipse! But don’t worry if you aren’t in that 70 mile sliver of totality, you’ll still get a very awesome spectacle. The best resource for all things eclipse is NASA and I’ve spent the morning digging through […]
I tried Instacart for the first time last week…and it’s a game changer. Instacart is a 3rd party grocery delivery service that came to St. Louis a few months ago. I didn’t pounce on it right away, because, lets face it…having someone else pick up your groceries sounds like a huge luxury for this middle class […]
